Nice v Nasty – Ironically, them improving co-efficient helps Celtic

So theRangers are back yet again, until the next blip, then eat sleep repeat, yet their European successes could be of great assistance to Celtic going forward…

The Rangers put their current problems behind them to register a thumping away win against French side Nice in the Europa League.

The French side were depleted with seven first team regulars injured or not in the squad for other reasons, but it’s still a decent result all the same. The giant stadium in the Côte d’Azur was sparsely filled as the locals stayed away.

The 4-1 away win has predictably been met with euphoria amongst theRangers supporters and the SMSM alike, as the Govan Galacticos sent out a statement of intent. And of course it relives the pressure on Philippe Clement who they can’t sack after such an impressive away victory in European football.

This has led to their supporters shouting from the rooftops about carrying the co efficient and being a top European side blah, blah. The usual deluded behaviour, while ignoring the reality that their club is sitting in third place ELEVEN points behind Celtic in the league table.

After weeks of calling for their managers head, and criticising the way the new club is being run. Indeed a mass protest to vent their displeasure is scheduled for their next home game, the Ibrox supporters have put it firmly behind them as they dream of glory yet again.

That is until they slip up once again and it’s eat sleep repeat…rather gloriously.
