Kris Boyd gives Celtic praise and singles out Player of the Year

Celtic have been praised by ex-Rangers striker Kris Boyd for their display in the 2-0 win over Kilmarnock. Boyd, who had playing spells at Ibrox and Rugby Park, normally picks fault with Celtic where he can but the Sky pundit admitted that he was impressed with Brendan’s side doing the dirty work at Killie.

Speaking to Roger Hannah on the Scottish Sun Go Ballistic show, Boyd was full of praise for Celtic and the way that they went about their business.

The former Scotland Internationalist might’ve struggled to give the Celtic players their due credit, especially after they received extensive praise for impressive wins over Aberdeen and RB Leipzig. Boyd often finds himself on the losing end of debates with ex-Celtic hero Chris Sutton, who enjoys Boyd’s frustration at Rangers’ woes. The pair have built a good on-screen relationship, often leading to more debate through their views on the game.

Boyd also identified Nicolas Kühn as his contender for Player of the Year. The 24-year-old has 21 goal contributions in just 17 games this season, shining in the recent win over RB Leipzig.
