Another Glasgow Derby cup final was confirmed earlier today, and it’s one that Celtic can head into with confidence, but please don’t buy the hype that a win is a formality.

Squeezing past Motherwell

This afternoon theRangers squeezed past Motherwell (2-1) to set up a Glasgow Derby showdown in next month’s Premier Sports Cup final. It’s certainly a game to be relished, especially with our recent form and we can go into the game with great confidence.

Their Fear Factor

There seems to be a belief amongst our supporters that a win is a sure fire thing. Even theRangers supporters are commenting on how much they are dreading the occasion, but don’t ever fall into the trap of buying into that hype.

Let’s be frank, theRangers supporters and players will be well up for this game, make no mistake about that.

In a one off game anything can happen

Celtic are a much more talented and efficient team than the latest Ibrox club’s current side, and we should have too much for them over the course of a season, but in a one off game anything can happen.

I’m confident we can win the cup, especially if we play the way we did against Aberdeen last night. In actual fact if we can replicate that form there’s no reason why we can’t achieve a similar scoreline. theRangers like every other side in Scotland can’t live with us when we play to the best of our ability.

For now all eyes on RB Leipzig

Brendan is the master of these games and will have us well up for the final, that we know, but we shouldn’t get too cocky or over-confident. After all it’s a one off game and anything can happen and there’s plenty of football to be played before then.

Park this until next month. For now all eyes on RB Leipzig.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
