According to reports Celtic and Adidas are interested in extending their partnership which runs out next summer, and no wonder as the sports giants have made a killing on their deal with the club which has been reflected in their sales figures…
From my own point of view the kits have been a mixed bag in terms of style, but the training gear has been top notch.
Scottish record kit deal
Adidas will be not surprisingly pushing for a new deal, and that should leave all the cards in the hand of the club. The last deal was reportedly a Scottish record kit deal, so you can bet your life that the club will be asking for much much more.
With our earning opportunities restricted due to the environment where we play our football, such as TV money, we’ve got to look at other areas of bringing in extra income.
Season ticket sales is a massive part of our income stream, but sponsorship is another avenue that is very important to us. With our club’s track record of getting the best deals possible, I fully expect them to negotiate a very lucrative deal with Adidas.
