Celtic team news for the Champions League match against Atalanta with the big news being that Adam Idah starts as Kyogo drops to the bench in a tactical switch from the manager…

Celtic team to take on Atalanta has been announced…

Adam Idah comes in for Kyogo as Brendan Rodgers makes a tactical switch designed to give Celtic a better chance to retain the ball in the top third of the pitch and the Irish striker’s physique will also benefit Celtic defensive at set-pieces.

Auston Trusty starts alongside Liam Scales in the ongoing absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers who has now missed more Champions League games through injury than he’s started. That’s a major cause for concern.

Paul Bernardo started in Dortmund but this time it’s Reo Hatate playing alongside McGregor and Engels in the middle of the park.

The starting XI for Celtic are Schmeichel, Johnston, Trusty, Scales and Valle; McGregor, Engels, Hatate; Kuhn, Idah and Maeda.

On the bench for Celtic are Sinisalo, Bain, Palma, Kyogo, Yang, McCowan, Nawrocki, Bernardo, Forrest, Ralston and Welsh.

Kick-off is at 5.45pm, the game is on TNT Sports. Best of luck to the Bhoys.
