Inevitably Celtic players will have bad games. They can’t be perfect every week, pity some don’t understand that…

Each and every player looked out of sorts in yesterday’s 2-1 win in Dingwall. Maybe they were still suffering from the thumping in Dortmund, or maybe it was just an off day, but it was pretty evident that they weren’t at the races.

In the end our grit and determination shone through as we snatched an all important victory, but that still didn’t the critical element of our support having a pop at the players.

    Below par performance

Yes they didn’t do themselves justice, and were below par, but they can’t be perfect every single game, that’s just impossible.

We can’t be free flowing and score four or five goals every game, it doesn’t happen that way. Over the course of a league campaign you are going to witness games like yesterday, especially after a European game.

Yesterday was one of those days, and it won’t be the last as you can be sure there will be a few more occasions when we will be far from our best.

    Mental toughness

That’s just football and we’ve got to make sure like yesterday our mental toughness pulls us through, as that after all is the mark of champions. It’s just a pity that some folk don’t understand that, and would rather criticise the players rather than praise them for getting us over the line. We did win after all.

Sandman’s Definitive Ratings on The Celtic Star

A guilty pleasure of thousands of Celtic supporters after a match is enjoying Sandman’s Definitive Ratings and he didn’t let anyone down yesterday afternoon.  If you get it, you get it, for most it’s an exceptional read yet there’s a comment saying it’s easily the worst patter on the internet. Depends if you have a sense of humour I suppose.
