The Hoops come into this match somewhat frustrated following the 2-2 draw against Aberdeen on Saturday where they squandered a two-goal lead. Defensively Celtic were found wanting by Aberdeen and the recent 7-1 defeat in Dortmund is still a painful memory for the Celtic support.

The spectre of that Dortmund defeat looms over Celtic’s away matches in the Champions League and a result in Bergamo would certain raise spirits. Pundit Michael Stewart reckons that a change in personnel could be the key getting something in Italy rather than a complete tactical overhaul.
Stewart has suggested that Adam Idah, who rejoined Celtic this summer after a successful loan spell, should be given the nod to start against Atalanta. While current striker Kyogo Furuhashi has led the line for Celtic, Stewart argues that introducing Idah could provide essential balance to the team’s attacking and defensive strategies.

“Having Idah up top might be the best way to play,” Stewart added, suggesting that his physicality could help the team maintain pressure while also allowing for counter-attacks. The BBC pundit insists that this approach would not compromise Celtic’s commitment to playing attractive football, but instead, it would offer a different tactical option when inevitably they are put under pressure.

Think whoever Rodgers chooses to start between kyogo and Idah, will be a great indication as to how, we actually intend to approach tomorrow night against atalanta imo?
Personally it would be kyogo to start, if we were playing a CL match, where we are going to be fairly dominant with the football?
Can’t see that being the case tomorrow night, so think idah can offer ourselves better qualities than kyogo in potential hold up play, and offering an out ball for our defensive players when under pressure?
Kyogo could well be effective later in the game, especially if we can stay in contention within the game?
Still believe that our midfield areas will determine our fate tomorrow, and would be very surprised if we can manage to keep a clean sheet?
So don’t think we are capable of sitting back and defending all night either?
