Celtic opened up a six point lead over Rangers this weekend despite dropping their first points of the season. The game would have likely annoyed a number of Celtic fans because of the slackness that allowed Aberdeen back into the game.

However, Rangers bottled their chance to capitalise on the top two dropping points, which has prompted a fairly catastrophic reaction from the Ibrox support.

One caller took the well-travelled path of recent years for Rangers supporters – phoning up to blight on about their club’s failings, using Gordon Duncan as therapy.

The caller demanded a boycott and protests from Rangers supporters with Philippe Clement being handed his P45.

While Celtic fans will enjoy the fallout, Brendan will be looking forward to test his side against Atalanta in Bergamo. The performance in the second half will have annoyed the manager, especially as Celtic passed up a number of chances to kill the game off.
