Miss of the season contender as Lyon wipe the smile from the Rangers faces

It’s been a happy few days for theRangers supporters, but last night brought them back to reality with a bump…

The reality being that they are a very poor team. To be honest, the last few days have been pretty grim for Celtic supporters after our mauling in Dortmund, and while it’s still sore, the result from Ibrox last night certainly cheered us up.

Yes, we know it’s a concern about the co-efficient etc but the reality is the vast majority of Celtic supporters will be had a wee smile on their faces last night after hearing that result.

Since Tuesday night theRangers supporters have been heckling us non stop, and acting the big yin. You can’t really blame them to be fair as we’d be the same if the boot was on the other foot, and today it certainly is!

It’s rather sad that theRangers supporters highlight of the season is Celtic  getting a doing, but if it makes them happy so be it.  Last night though that changed as they were brought crashing down to earth by a second string Lyon side who currently sit 11th in Ligue 1.

The realisation that they are a very poor side, with a bleak looking future hit home as the French side hit four past them without getting out of second gear. In fact the only positive for them is the scoreline wasn’t even bigger than it was.

Celtic’s humiliation was a welcome distraction for them, and while we are still hurting, we have a whole lot to look forward too, while they have to face up to the fact that they are a very average side who are struggling to fight for second place never mind a title and have a manger who seems to becoming less impressive after each passing game.

Here are the highlights from last night at Ibrox…check out the miss of the season!
