Celtic v Dundee – Changes needed to rest legs ahead bigger challenges

Changes are a must for tomorrow night with two bigger games on the horizon…

Tomorrow night Celtic will continue our league campaign with a game against Dundee at Celtic Park.

The games are now coming thick and fast. After the Dundee fixture we have a Hampden date with Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semi final on Saturday evening, before a Champions League clash against Leipzig at Paradise next Tuesday night..

With that in mind it’s time to take advantage of our squad depth and make a few changes ahead of the visit of the Dark Blues tomorrow night.

Squad Rotation is key

With all due respect to the Dens Park side, this should be the most ‘winnable’ game of the three, and with that in mind we should shuffle the pack with two massive games on the horizon.

Guys like Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn could do with a rest with those games in mind. Maybe even Alistair Johnston who’s played a lot of games for both club and country recently. Callum McGregor was also rested as a precaution on Sunday, and it would do him no harm to sit this one out too.

CCV should start

Cameron Carter-Vickers could come back to partner Auston Trusty and give Liam Scales a well deserved rest. Greg Taylor is also back to full fitness so he could come in for Alex Valle. So we will hardly be weakened.

Even without some of our regular starters we should have enough to beat Dundee, there really are no excuses.

We have a big squad, so now is the time to use that to our advantage. Starting tomorrow night.
