CCV and Taylor both absent for tomorrow. Last season it would have been a problem, but our strength and depth is much better now…

It wasn’t exactly a surprise to find out that CCV and Greg Taylor are out of tomorrow’s clash against Ross County in Dingwall. Both have been carrying knocks for quite some time, and hopefully the rest over the international break will do them good.
Losing two players of this calibre is a blow
Losing two players of this calibre, two of whom are vital to how we play, is a blow, but not as much as it would have been at this time last season.

Brendan spoke of his desire to get quality in during the transfer window and he got his wish, and two of those players Auston Trusty and Alex Valle will get the nod to start in the Highlands.
Sunday is a completely different ball game
Trusty like his fellow countryman is tall strong and athletic and will fit into the defence no problem at all, helped by the fact he’s already played a couple of games beside Liam Scales.
Yes, like every other player Trusty looked out of his depth in Dortmund, but with all due respect to Ross County, Sunday is a completely different ball game.

Alex Valle looks the part
Alex Valle has also looked the part in the few appearances he’s made so far. Against Dortmund he was one of our major pluses on a night of negatives and the Spaniard didn’t look out of place at that level.
That proves our squad is much more stronger than last year, and we should be going into the game with confidence instead of the usual dread.
