BBC Sportscene have brilliantly edited their highlights of Celtic’s win over Dundee to rubbish Tony Docherty’s claim that his side were unlucky to leave without a clean sheet. Goals from Alistair Johnston and Arne Engels gave the Scottish Champions maximum points but the reality was that they could’ve scored more.

Speaking after the game, Docherty made the bizarre claim which was essentially fact checked by a Sportscene graphic, which confirmed that Celtic’s expected goals (xG) was almost 5.

Impeccable timing from the Sportscene graphics here 😂

Whether by design or chance, it is quite funny that the graphic popped up as Docherty tried to gloss over the result.

To be fair to Docherty, his side were very well organised and put in a stellar defensive performance after Celtic missed glorious opportunities within the first twenty minutes. Kyogo should’ve done better with two early opportunities and seemed to snatch at both, very unlike him.

The visitors kept Celtic at bay until Brendan was forced to call upon his bench with Johnston opening the scoring from a Yang cross.
