Balogun words are all that’s wrong with that club, let’s hope they catch on…

The Rangers defender Leon Balogun has spoken of his frustration at his team’s form this season.
According to the Algerian international, theRangers players are struggling to meet the expectations placed upon them at the Ibrox club.
Balogun said ““You have to understand what this club stands for, the history of this club.”
That certainly raised a smile as 12 years of history isn’t exactly hard to get your head around. What they achieved in that time could be written on the back of a stamp.

Balogun is all that is wrong with his club. I’ve nothing against him personally, as I’m sure he’s a good guy, but like so many others before him he’s got caught up in the hype and believed everything that’s spoon fed to him from those in power at Ibrox.
They act like they are a big club, and conveniently ignore the fact that they have achieved nothing of note in their history that can allow them to claim to be a big club. They still believe that they are oldco when they are in fact just the tribute act.
A tribute act that has won the same amount of major honours as St Johnstone this past decade. That pretence is what actually holds them back. If they are to move forward then they have to accept that they aren’t a big club anymore and strive to be one. Let’s hope they never catch on…
