Applause for Celtic’s 21st Century Bhoys winners of a staggering 41 honours

21st Century Bhoys…

Celtic at the 2024 Scottish cup Final

In so many ways season 1999/2000 was a season to forget for Celtic support. We did however win the League Cup in March 2000 against Aberdeen at Hampden to lift our first honour of the new century and it signalled the start of an incredible trophy haul that continues to rise.

Others don’t even get close to Celtic’s trophy haul

41 honours, yes a staggering 41 honours have been won by the club in the first quarter of the new century which shows that we are undoubtedly the dominant club in this country. No one comes close. Indeed every other club combined, counting both from Ibrox, don’t even get close to Celtic’s trophy haul.

18 league titles, 12 Scottish Cups, and 11 League Cups

18 league titles, 12 Scottish Cups, and 11 League Cups and seven trebles have been won, including a record quadruple treble, a record that will never be beaten in a quarter of a century and we’ve still got one more season to go!

We even equalled a club record of nine championships in a row. We currently sit at the top of the table and are in contention for yet another clean sweep. The trophy tally will undoubtedly continue to grow in the coming years as we cement our position as the principal force in Scottish football.

Side letters and ultimately unlawful tax schemes

Clement has never beaten Celtic

Back in the 1990s when Rangers dominated in Scotland they did so on borrowed money, dodgy and secretive side letters and ultimately unlawful tax schemes – they ended up with David Murray selling the club for a doubt to Craigy Whyte and from there administration and liquidation followed.

Celtic’s success has also seen the club strengthen its financial position with up to £100m in the bank if the Matt O’Riley chief has been cashed.

Others may aspire to the title, but Celtic’s dominance this century shows no sign of weakening. Catch us if you can afford to is the message…
