Yang has all the attributes to develop into a very good Celtic winger

Yang over Luis Palma for me. The South Korean winger can be a key player for Celtic in the coming months…

Yang looked like he was surplus to requirements at the start of the season as he seldom appeared in the match day squads. Luis Palma and James Forrest looked to be the preferred option behind first picks Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn.

Yang however looked lively

The South Korean however looked lively after being introduced against Falkirk on Sunday.  He seemed more assured and confident than Luis Palma whose head seems to be elsewhere at the moment.

He is still young and raw, but with a full season at Celtic behind him not to mention representing his nation at full international level Yang’s come on leaps and bounds and has the potential to be even better this season.

Admittedly, he’s not going to be an automatic starter.  However he will be prove to be useful player to bring off the bench in games that are a bit tight, as he proved on Sunday.

Yang is direct and skilful

Yang is direct and skilful and likes to make things happen. He likes to run at defenders and has the pacy and the strength to win the physical battles. Essentially he’s the total opposite of Luis Palma.

It just makes sense to have Yang ahead of the Honduran in the pecking order for now. Then it’s then up to Palma to prove he’s worthy of a Celtic jersey.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
