Reo Hatate has doubled Celticโs advantage in the 33rd minute to give Celtic a 2-0 lead over St Mirren in Paisley. The Japanese midfielder collected a cut-back from his international teammate Daizen Maeda to fire the ball off of the post and into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. A second goal is no more than Celtic deserved with a dominant display with over 80% possession, and creating numerous chances with the two goals. Brendan Rodgers will be delighted with Celticโs first-half showing, especially since this is his first game without the talents of Matt OโRiley in the midfield. With Celtic stretching their advantage before halftime, Brendan Rodgers looks set to jump back up to the top of the league.
