Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon is set for the sack as Rapid Bucharest seems set to part ways with the boss after a run of disappointing results. However there are conflicting reports emerging from Bucharest…
Romanian journalist Emanuel Roşu reports that an official announcement regarding Lennon’s sacking is expected today. However that claim is disputed by sources at the club, according to a report in Scottish Sun.
So far in the league, his Bucharest side haven’t picked up a win yet this season, with five draws and one loss in six games. Having conceded eight and only scored seven, their goal difference is in the negatives to top off their lacklustre start to the campaign.
Terrbile start
They currently sit 12th in the SuperLiga table and Lennon claimed that his side is actually OVER-ACHIEVING given the state of the squad he inherited.
He initially signed a two-year deal with the Romanian side but this could be cut short as quickly as in the next 24 hours, if those reports are correct.
