Mikey Johnston has completed his exit from Celtic. The 25-year-old returns to West Brom in a deal worth £3m after deciding on a return to Hawthorns over switches to Burnley or Sheffield United.
Johnston made 93 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 13 goals and assisting on 12 occasions. The player was part of a successful period of the club’s history and he achieved a great deal. However, it felt as if he was never able to catch a break, such as taking his opportunity or suffering an injury when he started to stake a claim for his place in the team.
Mikey Johnston has left #CelticFC to join West Bromwich Albion on a permanent transfer.
Best of luck and thank you, Mikey! 💚🍀 pic.twitter.com/jy3kcuhkXW
