Hearts for the title? You’re having laugh Yan

Hearts for the title? You’re having laugh Yan…

Hearts midfielder Yan Dhanda has boldly stated that his new side can ‘go past’ past the big two this season.

By saying ‘go past’ Dhanda obviously thinks the Gorgie side can win the title, and although it’s good to hear a player with a bit of confidence and belief, it ain’t going to happen anytime soon. If Dhanda really believes that then he’s in for a bumpy landing.

Splitting the big two is a big ask

I can confidently state that no side outside the big two will challenge for the title never mind win it. Even splitting the big two and finishing second is beyond the reach of every single club in the top flight but at least that would be a more realistic objective for Hearts.

Hearts can’t even get the better of a poor theRangers side at home, a side they haven’t beaten in five years so how can they expect to compete for the title?

Champions League qualifying spot available for coming second

There’s also the lack of squad depth as well as a lack of experience in fighting for a title. Even the most optimistic Hearts supporter would surely agree. Keep dreaming Yan, it ain’t ever going to happen, but remember there’s a Champions League qualifying spot available for coming second.
