Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard set for Leicester move

Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is set for a deadline day move to Leicester City. Crystal Palace have sanctioned a move that will see the Frenchman leave the club to compete with Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka for game time under Steve Cooper.

According to The Telegraph’s John Percy, French Eddy will undergo a medical with the newly promoted side with a loan deal in mind.

Oliver Glasner doesnt appear to be Edouard’s biggest fan despite impressive spells at Selhurst Park.

Edouard left Celtic in the summer of 2021 having scored 87 times and assisted 39 times for the club since arriving in a £9m deal back in 2017. Initially signed on a season-long loan, Edouard went from Celtic’s third choice behind Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths to a mainstay in the starting XI. He scored a brace as Celtic beat Rangers 5-0 to win 7IAR and conjured up some incredible moments during his time in the Hoops.
