Celtic £8m target earns call up to Poland squad for Scotland clash

Celtic transfer target Mateusz Bogusz has earned a call up to Poland’s National Team by manager Michał Probierz. The 23-year-old is in fine form for LAFC, which has caught the attention of the Celtic scouts but also the Polish manager.

Bogusz will definitely be heading to Hampden for Poland’s game against Scotland before the trip to Croatia to face the 2018 World Cup Finalists.

Celtic’s formal bid is being considered by LAFC but it could be that the teams are discussing terms over a sale.

Bogusz was on the losing side of the MLS Leagues Cup Final despite assisting Olivier Giroud. However, Columbus Crew scored twice in injury time to win 3-1. LAFC were keen to retain the Polish midfielder until after the game, meaning that Celtic can now make the move for the versatile midfielder.

Celtic have also been in negotiations to sign Arne Engels from Augsburg with the Belgian midfielder keen on making the switch to Glasgow. The club always want to sign Alex Valle on loan from Barcelona to compete with Greg Taylor in the left-back role.
