Brendan Rodgers once more reiterated his desire to bring more ‘quality’ to the club this transfer window.

“Do we want to improve? Yes, does the board know that? Yes.”

In his press conference yesterday the Celtic manager was very clear about his intentions for the squad and put his point across calmly and intelligently as always, but there were serious undertones in his words and it was pretty obvious it was yet another reminder directed at those who pull the purse strings at Celtic Park.

Brendan said: “Do we want to improve? Yes, does the board know that? Yes.”

“But with the tools we have at this moment in time, the players are working very, very well and I would expect us to add to that and be stronger by the time the window closes .”

“I’ve known what I’ve always wanted

“I’m quite relaxed. I’ve known what I’ve always wanted, but there’s so many moving parts in transfers.”

Brendan knows fine well we need to improve, the supporters know we need to improve. The board knows we need to improve. The latter is in control of us funding the improvement, and they had better get a move on or they will be left feeling the wrath of both the manager and supporters, who Brendan quite rightly pointed out have put our money where our mouths are in terms of piling it into the Celtic PLC coffers.

The Celtic supporters have done so much to support the club financially

Make no mistake the success of Celtic is not just down to our Board but also to each and every one of our supporters who back the club in every way possible including financially.

Enough is enough, back Brendan and back him now.
