Augsburg seal deal for Engels replacement as £11m deal nears

Celtic will hopefully confirm a deal to sign Arne Engels this evening. The 20-year-old was called up by the Belgian National Team earlier today in what could be an incredible day for the midfielder.

Now, Augsburg appear to have signed a replacement in Brentford’s Frank Onyeka. According to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph, the Bundesliga side have signed a replacement for the Celtic bound midfielder.

Engels is expected to join Celtic later this evening in an £11m deal, becoming the club’s record signing. The Belgian is expected to replace Matt O’Riley, who left for Brighton in a deal worth £30m during the week. Celtic are said to want to add another midfielder to their ranks.
