Arguments at Paisley, rumours, let-downs then a few decent signings

Transfer madness is a needless distraction for us all, the end of the window can’t come quick enough…

It’s fair to say that the transfer window has been something of an unwanted distraction for us all. Nothing but total speculative nonsense by both the SMSM and those who claim to be In The Know. Day in day out for weeks on end. Who’s leaving? Who’s arriving? it’s starting to be a general annoyance to each and every one of us who support Celtic.

Arguments at Paisley

It’s not just about the lack of incomings, but the speculation regarding players who might leave, it’s not a great environment for anyone. It takes its toll on both supporters and players alike. On Sunday we even had supporters and the Celtic Chairman arguing outside the ground at Paisley ahead of the Scottish Premiership win against St Mirren.

A distraction we can do without

It’s quite frankly a distraction we can do without.

All we want to do is concentrate on the football without the circus that is the transfer window dominating our thoughts.

Late tomorrow evening, at exactly 11pm,  we will be put out of our misery until the New Year at least, when we have to prepare to go through it all again when the winter transfer window opens.

Engels deal done

Hopefully as the clock strikes eleven tomorrow night we will be celebrating the arrival of a few new faces to add to Arne Engels who will be confirmed tomorrow after his medical, and all out of our (remaining) vital players staying put.

Then and only then can we concentrate on what is important, and that of course is matters on the field. Starting on Sunday when we take on theRangers at Celtic Park in the first Glasgow Derby of the season.
