Alistair Johnston put the game beyond doubt, with Celtic’s third goal in the 70th minute of the Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren in Paisley this afternoon. First-half goals from Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate had given the Hoops the advantage at the interval, but Stephen Robinson’s side pushed in the reopening stages of the second half to gain a foothold in the match. That hope was swiftly ended by the Canadian international linking with Nicolas Kuhn on the right to hammer the ball high into the St Mirren net to extend Celtic’s lead to three. Job done for the champions in Paisley!
