Brendan must be backed by Celtic Board after £30m Matt O’Riley transfer deal

A record fee for Matt. If Celtic has any ambitions as a football club then we need to quickly reinvest it…

Matt O’Riley will unfortunately soon be a Brighton player and that leaves us a big void to fill no matter the financial compensation.

A £30 million deal takes Matt O’Riley to Brighton

The EPL side have agreed to pay the Scottish Champions a record transfer fee which will be worth upwards of £30 million to the club for the Danish international.

However that means nothing if the club don’t act fast and reinvest a reasonable chunk of that on a replacement or at least bring in two or three quality players to cushion the blow.

Our club isn’t renowned for reinvesting previous big incoming fees on quality players, and it’s highly doubtful that they will break the habit this time around.

It’s imperative that Brendan is backed by the Celtic Board

It’s imperative that Brendan gets to bring in at least three or maybe four new faces before the window slams shut next week. It’s what is needed if we want to push on from our success last season, not just domestically, but in Europe also.

It’s no use staying static just because theRangers are having a terrible time at the moment. Those in charge must show serious ambition to push our football club to a new level. We have tens of millions , it’s time to utilise those means so we can all reap the rewards on the park.

Otherwise what is the actual point?

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
