TheRangers going cap in hand to Hampden. They better hope someone is home.

TheRangers amateur planning antics in a bid to renovate parts of their ground has hilariously left them without a venue to play out their home fixtures at the start of the season.

This has led them to explore other options in a bid to have somewhere to temporarily call ‘home’ with the new season only a matter of weeks away.

It looks like Hampden is going to be that venue with a deal close to being struck with bosses of the national stadium over the use of the ground.

You can’t help but to see the irony and hypocrisy of the whole sorry hilarious situation. It’s a bit like the grudge they held and still do hold against the Scottish Government, but yet still took their cash during Covid.

Over a decade ago when the Ibrox club was just in its infancy, they were fuming with the games beaks and declared all out war on the governing body for what they called ‘victimisation’

They were being ‘persecuted’ they said after enduring the embarrassment of starting life out as a newco at the very bottom.

They weren’t actually, it’s just that the rules were being applied to them in the same way they are to everyone else. But as we know they inherited Rangers 1872’s RIP sense of entitlement and thought they were above the law, so where upset and angry that the games rulers weren’t playing ball.

The club’s rage encouraged their supporters to plan a mass demonstration which resulted in number of supporters marching to Hampden to vent their frustration at their clubs ‘treatment’

Hilariously they turned up on a non working day, yes no one was at home, a bit like theRangers presently.

    Just an Ordinary Bhoy
