Singing the Blues – Celtic’s former Assistant Manager gets the better of Clement

The Rangers summer woes may be amusing, but don’t take anything for granted until the real action starts. Especially when their first game is almost certainly a guaranteed three points as it’s against Hearts.

theRangers last night stumbled to yet another pre-season defeat this time against league one outfit Birmingham City, who are now managed by former Celtic coach Chris Davies.

Things got more amusing after the game when Philippe Clement announced to the media that Todd Cantwell had asked for a transfer, therefore meaning Tik Todd will have to train with the B side until he finds a club willing to take him on.

Add the fact that concerns over the state of their stadium are growing by the day, then yes of course it’s rather amusing and the Celtic support will revel in their misfortune, but let’s not get carried away just yet. This is only pre-season after all and results from friendlies mean zilch when the real action kicks off.

We can’t be taking anything for granted until then. theRangers are making a few signings and getting rid of some deadwood so they will be well up for the new campaign, it would be foolish to suggest otherwise.

And of course theRangers also have an almost certain three points from the first game as they travel to Tynecastle, and as we know Hearts have a predictable habit of rolling over when facing their big cousins.  So we can’t carried away just yet.
