Norwich reject Celtic’s £4m plus add-ons bid for Adam Idah

Norwich City has rejected a £4m plus add-ons Celtic bid for Republic of Ireland striker Adam Idah shortly after news broke that Celtic had made contact with the Championship club.

Idah joined Celtic on the closing days of the winter transfer window and scored nine goals for Celtic in 19 appearances, including of course Celtic’s winner in the Scottish Cup final against theRangers at Hampden on 25 May.

Idah was valued at around £3m back in January as he struggled to get game-time and was becoming a whipping boy for the Norwich support.  However his fortunes have been transformed during his time at Celtic, the club he supports. Idah appears to want a quick fire return to Paradise but knows that ultimately the decision will be Norwich’s.

Celtic are unlikely to be deterred at this stage and may return with a second offer as Brendan Rodgers is determined to bring the Irishman from Cork back to Celtic Park. Expect more on this shortly.

Here’s the report on Celtic making initial contact with Norwich City earlier today…

Expect that Celtic will have to pay at least £6m plus add-ons to bring Adam Idah back to the club. The saga is likely to last quite a while longer.

  1. Not the worst offer made for idah, especially as he wasn’t wanted at Norwich in January?
This nonsense about the new manager looking to assess him is nothing but bullshit imo?
Idah would hardly want to return to Norwich now, and wouldn’t be much point in Norwich trying to hold onto a player that doesn’t want to be there any longer either?
So expect this deal to be concluded fairly shortly, especially when the initial bid we made isn’t to far away, from what Norwich can really expect to get for idah imo?
