Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Reo Hatate from Celtic. The midfielder is contracted to Celtic until 2028 after signing a new deal but has previously stated that he would like to test himself in the Premier League.
According to Mail Sport, Celtic are aware of the interest from the newly promoted Premier League side. The 26-year-old is reportedly a target by new boss Steve Cooper as he looks to add midfield options.
Celtic are unlikely to want to lose the Japanese Internationalist while there is interest in Matt O’Riley from Serie A and Premier League clubs. The Danish star has been an outstanding performer in the pre-season tour of the USA, which will only confirm to the club that they must stick to their value of £30m for the midfielder.
After joining Celtic in January 2022 from Kawasaki Frontale, Hatate has scored 16 goals and assisted 19 times in 87 appearances.
