Celtic are reportedly in talks over a move for Wolves left-back Hugo Bueno. The Scottish Champions want defensive reinforcements including a challenger for Greg Taylor’s position and the Spain U21 star is on the club’s wishlist.
According to the BBC, Celtic and Wolves are discussing terms over a deal but there is yet to be any agreement for the Spaniard. Celtic had attempted to sign the player in January but a move was rebuffed. Clearly he is a player that the manager and the club admire so it could be an interesting one to watch.
Bueno has made 49 appearances for the Wolverhampton outfit, scoring once, but finds himself second in the pecking order under Gary O’Neil. The player will likely fancy a crack at the Champions League and could see Celtic as the perfect club to realise his ambitions.
Celtic have only signed two players this window – goalkeepers Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel – but the manager wants reinforcements in a number of areas. Paulo Bernardo is expected to complete a return with Celtic also vying to bring Adam Idah back to the club.
