He came, he saw, he conquered all comers in the United States. DC United, Manchester City and Chelsea all conceded four goals to Brendan Rodgers’ impressive Celtic side as the Scottish Champions concluded their USA Tour with a perfect three wins from three before making their way home to Scotland to prepare for flag day.
‘Are you Rangers in Disguise?’
Make no mistake, yesterday’s 4-1 victory over English Premier League side Chelsea does not flatter Celtic, who could have easily scored six or seven. And at the other end Kasper Schmeichel looks like he is going to be a hugely important player for the Scottish Champions this season.
Goals from Matt O’Riley and Kyogo gave Celtic a well deserved lead at the break and in the second half Luis Palma and Mikey Johnston piled on the agony to the EPL side as Celtic put on the style. A penalty in the closing minutes gave Chelsea a consolation as the Celtic support asked them “ARE YOU RANGERS IN DISGUISE?’
