Celtic close to confirming signing of Paulo Bernardo

Celtic are reportedly close to announcing the signing of Paulo Bernardo. The Portuguese youngster is said to have agreed personal terms with the Scottish Champions as they look to bring him back to the club following a successful loan period last season.

According to Maisfutbol, Celtic have agreed a deal worth around €3m for the player but with the Portuguese sign holding a 30% sell-on clause over the former Portugal U21 star.

It is also reported that the player will seal a five-year deal with Celtic as he looks to take his game to the next level under Brendan. Bernardo would be the third signing of the summer, following Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo. The club want to bring more players in with the manager keen on a left-sided central defender, a left back, two strikers and a winger. Talks are ongoing to get Adam Idah back to the club.
