Al Wahda’s Odd Couple – Ronny and ‘Misser’ head to Abu Dhabi

Ronny Delia has surprised everyone, in Scotland anyway, with his choice of number two at Al Wahda…

The popular former Celtic manager has not long been unveiled as the new boss of the Abu Dhabi side, and he’s decided to bring in former Rangers, Celtic and theRangers striker Kenny Miller as his right hand man.

Ronny must know ‘Misser’ from his time in Scotland, and while it’s not strange to strike up a friendship with someone from your bitter rivals, it’s still an odd pairing.

He’s certainly not hired Kenny because of his knowledge of football coaching that’s for sure. His short spell in charge of Livingston and his football analysis as a pundit would suggest it’s not for his insights on the coaching side of the game.

Ronny could do us a further turn

That’s Ronny’s decision of course, but he’s done us all a massive favour as it will mean less of Kenny on our screens and on the airwaves.

Maybe Ronny could do us a further turn and tempt Ally McCoist over to Abu Dhabi. Now that would be a move we would all welcome!
