After Vatican visit, Celtic tick The White House off bucket list

Celtic have been training at the George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia on the campus of George Mason University.

With temperatures around 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Washington DC, the squad was pushed to the limits as they prepare for the first of three matches in their short tour of the United States.

That tour opener against DC United, is of course live on Celtic TV in the early hours of Sunday morning.

After training yesterday the Celtic squad visited the White House and were given a tour of the iconic American building that is the home of the sitting President, in this case Joe Bidden.

Celticโ€™s Bucket Listย

Joe is proud of his Irish roots and his Secret Service password just happens to be Celtic. Thatโ€™s about it though for anything good that could be said about this Presidency and in particular his policy of sending arms to Israel.

But after visiting the Vatican last year, the invitation to visit the White House is another one off the bucket list for Celtic.

The squad will be back training today as they prepare for the game against MLS side, DC United at Audi Field Stadium, which will be a major highlight for the Celtic supporters in North America. For the rest of us, itโ€™s live on Celtic TV, with kick-off at half past midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning, Celtic Park Time.
