UEFA share iconic Victor Wanyama moment on ex-Celt’s birthday

UEFA have shared Victor Wanyama’s most iconic moment in a Celtic shirt as the Kenyan celebrates his birthday. The Montreal defensive unit turns 33 today and this prompted the UEFA account to share the incredible moment that he scored Celtic’s opening goal against Barcelona.

Wanyama leapt highest to turn in a Charlie Mulgrew corner and put Neil Lennon’s side ahead as they went on their way to win a memorable victory over Barca.

In two seasons at the club, Wanyama made 91 appearances, scoring 13 times and assisting on 9 occasions. In that time, Wanyama won two Premiership titles and one Scottish Cup before departing to Southampton in a £9m deal.
