Adam Idah has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad, along with two fellow Bhoys ahead of Summer Internationals.
Adam Idah has seen terrific form over the past few months, with a recent obvious example of this being his 90th-minute goal which clutched the Scottish Cup final for the Bhoys. Although Celtic’s season has drawn to a close following the Scottish Cup final, work over the Summer will continue for some of the players.
With Euro 2024 just around the corner, many of the Bhoys will be looking to get a game for their international side. Many Celtic players, such as Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, Anthony Ralston, and James Forrest have already been named by Steve Clarke in the preliminary squad for the Scottish team heading to Germany.
James Forrest started in the 2-0 warm-up match in Portugal against Gibraltar yesterday and we’ll probably see Callum McGregor starting against Finland on Friday evening with possibly Anthony Ralston playing as a right wingback.
Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate will be involved with the Japan squad, but there’s no place for Kyogo while Matt O’Riley surprisingly missed out on a place in the Denmark squad for Euro 2024 while both Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers will see game-time for Canada and USA respectively.
The interim manager for the Republic of Ireland announced his preliminary squad for the approaching international matches against Portugal and Hungary.
Due to his recent form, it comes as little surprise that Adam Idah has been included in the squad. Along with Idah, fellow Celts Liam Scales and Mikey Johnston (who is currently on loan to West Brom) have also been named to the squad.
