Incredibly, the Rangers beat off yet more competition to sign a player

So theRangers are continuing their summer spending spree by securing a deal for Aberdeen superstar Connor Barron.

Hats off to the Ibrox side as they beat several top European sides for the signature of the Scotland under 21 man. Well that’s what the SMSM would lead you to believe, and not for the first time, this summer.

It’s funny how every single player the Ibrox side land is at the expense of several other sides, sometimes our own club. Don’t they ever just sign a player who wasn’t being chased by Europe’s elite? Or maybe will be Real Madrid bound after a season or two at a club that claims to be even more successful that the La Liga giants.

The new ‘jetting in’

Several European powerhouses will surely be asking questions as to why the Ibrox club regularly beat them to the signature of the best stars on the continent.

‘Beating off competition’ is now the new ‘jetting in’ a term regular used by the SMSM during the succulent lamb days of David Murray at Rangers 1872 RIP.

No wonder the deluded Bears put so much pressure on their new star signings to perform from the word go, when the SMSM make them out to be world beaters who are destined for big things.
