The SPFL this morning released the Scottish Premiership fixture list for season 2024-25. As Champions Celtic open the campaign at home, and this time around the visitors are Derek McInnes’ Kilmarnock side. And there’s a rare Boxing Day treat for Celtic this year, thanks to the intervention of Brendan Rodgers.
We’re at Easter Road the following week then away to St Mirren before home matches against theRangers and Hearts followed by trips to Perth and Dingwall to take in St Johnstone and Ross County. After that we play Aberdeen at home, Motherwell away then the two Dundee sides at Celtic Park (Dundee first then United).
The second Glasgow Derby of the season is provisionally set to be played at Ibrox on 2nd January 2025 subject to their stadium being re-opened by then!
You will note too that Brendan Rodgers pulling the SPFL up for always having Celtic playing away in the Boxing Day game has had an impact and this year we’re actually at home on 26 December where Motherwell are the visitors. Another little victory for the Celtic boss!
