Ange Postecoglou is right to be furious, but truthfully would you want us to help the Rangers win the title?
The former Celtic manager wasn’t a happy man after seeing his Champions League dream disappear as his Spurs side suffered a home defeat to title chasing Manchester City last night.

Ange Postecoglou wasn’t happy last night
Big Ange had a few choice words to say and seemed to aim a dig at those inside the club as well as the Tottenham supporters. With good reason too as it looked obvious to everyone that more than a few were happy in defeat, as it meant that rivals Arsenal wouldn’t have the destiny of the title in their own hands.
Ange won’t tolerate a defeatist attitude
But Ange is a winner, and he won’t tolerate a defeatist attitude. His is the best attitude to have if you want to be a successful football club so any criticism aimed his way is wrong and completely out of order.
Although I think if we’re all truthful to ourselves, we would admit that we too wouldn’t be too ‘disheartened’ if we suffered a defeat that in turn stopped theRangers from winning a title.
The thought of giving them anything sickens me to the stomach, so I can kind of relate to the Spurs supporters. Although I would draw the line at celebrating a rival opponent scoring against my side, although if it was a mere consolation and it benefited me financially in the form of a correct scoreline, then maybe!
But all kidding aside, it looks like a bit of a storm is brewing between Ange and the Spurs supporters, and in all honesty it’s an argument where I can relate to both sides.

Celtic can show Spurs how winners operate
Coincidentally our editor posted an article earlier this week suggesting that in order to allow Celtic to have a proper title winning occasion tonight at Rugby Park, with a chance to put on a show and get the result that lets us officially celebrate our 54th title (not out), it would be preferable if theRangers won against Dundee.
Apparently he was watching that game, rather than the Tottenham v Manchester City game that Brendan Rodgers was watching. When Dundee scored he called one of our fellow writers, Lubo 98 to tell him Dundee had scored.
Lubo was watching the Spurs match too. Two minutes later he got another call from our editor cheering in celebration at a second Dundee goal! Yet he wasn’t too bothered at the eventual result because it sets up a special occasion this evening.
The paradox of football rivalry
It’s the paradox of football rivalry, there is no logic or reason and deep down Ange knows that too. But he is laser focused on success, so if Tottenham is a club that is happy with it’s lack of success – over a very long period of time – then maybe Ange should find another home for his incredible managerial talents.
Ange won a watch when he landed the Celtic job. No club has won what we have in modern times and we’ll add to it tonight. Bet Ange is watching too.
