They say that every picture tells a story and that is certainly true in this instance. Brendan Rodgers and Elena Sadiku, the two title winning Celtic managers are seen here with the two trophies Celtic lifted last weekend.

Celtic got the better of theRangers in both the Scottish Premiership and the SWPL1 with Brendan Rodgers beating not one but two managers of theRangers in the campaign that ended on Saturday.

Rodgers beat Beale by seven points

He started the season up against Michael Beale and won that short battle by seven points before theRangers spoiled our fun by sending the Cockney wide-boy back down the road.  Beale then got the Sunderland job and got sacked again!

His replacement at theRangers was the Belgian who had recently been sacked by Monaco. Despite making a great start it all sort of imploded for Philippe Clement when the heat came on.

Seven became eight under Clement

But they loved him at Ibrox and in the Scottish media and he did an unbelievable job against Rodgers reducing the points deficit on Celtic from a huge seven point gap to a neck and neck eight point deficit.

He also celebrated a 3-3 victory over Celtic at Ibrox as a title winning moment. And with the league won, as is often the case, the foot was taken off the pedal at Dingwall and Dens Park were five points where dropped. Only one handshake was dished out by the rattled Belgium. Funny, thought they like handshakes over at their place?

Meanwhile Elena Sadiku arrived in January with Celtic FC Women trailing theRangers who had appointed a new manager last summer.  Jo Potter got the better of Celtic in the Glasgow Cup, the Sky Sports Cup and the Scottish Cup but not in the league.

She thought she’d done it though as 90 minutes were on the clock in the final match of the season at Celtic Park where Sadiku’s team need the three points against to secure the title on goal difference. But the match was level.

Potter’s side were 4-0 up so they had the three points in the bag an their attention was focused on Hibs seeing out a goalless draw at Celtic Park to gift theRangers the title and very probably a treble.

Then Amy Gallacher produced some typical Gallacher magic – it runs in that family – and that produced a head in hands moment on theRangers bench at Broadwood.

Afterwards, Potter was typically ungracious in defeat, claiming her team deserved the title, her team were the best in Scotland, her team were this and that and failing to even say the word C-E-L-T-I-C.

It makes Celtic FC Women’s first ever title win all the sweeter. Watch this…

About a month or so ago both of theRangers sides were favourites to win their respective leagues yet thanks to Brendan Rodgers and Elena Sadiku that did not happen and both the trophies ended up in Paradise!
