Celtic given Norwich asking price for Adam Idah

Celtic have reportedly been told how much it will cost to bring Adam Idah to the club on a permanent basis.

According to Sun Sport, Norwich are willing to sell the striker and would be asking for a minimum of £5m for the striker.

Idah has been excellent since arriving and, minus a penalty miss at Tynecastle, has proven himself to be lethal in front of goal. In 14 appearances, the Irishman has 7 goals and 2 assists.

Brendan was keen on bringing the player to the club and he has been pushing Kyogo for the starting role up front. The manager has said that the club will review the situation with Idah in the summer but that both the club and player wanted to extend Idah’s stay beyond the summer.

Celtic will likely have a bit of work to do in the summer but the fact is that Idah has proven himself to be a viable alternative to Kyogo that can score and create chances. His arrival has resulted in Oh moving out of the first team picture.

  1. OH is just about to become another of Ange 2nd choice player’s in a position that Rodgers wants to move on now imo?
Idah could well become another signing that seems to have to show there worth to the club first, before the 5M mark and above will be paid out by the club nowadays?
Think that we may well have to start changing such an approach, if any real progress is going to be made at CL level imo?
Must admit that getting Idah as a permanent signing is the potential solution for ourselves, especially at CL level imo?
Not totally convinced that kyogo is a Rodgers type of player either currently?
We still seem to struggle to get the type of service kyogo thrives upon?
Tried to get kyogo to drop into that false 9 position earlier on in the season, but kyogo is at his best when playing off the shoulder of the last defender imo?
So idah seems to suit Rodgers methods moreso than kyogo presently imo?
Yet I wouldn’t class idah as good enough to actually lead our front line either as our 1st choice striker?
So if Rodgers remains as manager next season, I still wouldn’t like to call who would be his preferred choice as starting striker as things stand imo?

  2. Not worth £5 million plus, he’s only been at the Club since Jan and although he has 7 goals that’s against SPL clubs, he couldn’t do it in the English Championship so unless he’s improved dramatically over the last 4 and a bit Months then he’s way overpriced. Kyogo is a clever player who just doesn’t get the service he needs.
