Celtic battling newly promoted Premier League side for 17 year old talent

Celtic are reportedly battling with newly promoted Ipswich Town for the signature of a Queen’s Park talent. Aidan McGinley is attracting interest despite having never played a first team game for the Spiders.

According to Record Sport, Celtic are keen on the 17-year-old starlet as they look to sign a player that could develop into a future first team talent.

Ipswich are said to have offered the Scotland U17 a trial and appear to be front runners for the signature but the Scottish Champions could offer an alternative with Norwich City also vying for his signature.

Celtic are currently planning for the new season with Brendan saying that he is excited for signing opportunities for the new season. It is unlikely that the manager is involved with the signing but it is the type of the deal the club should be pursuing.
