Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that he will not be watching Rangers game against Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Earlier this week, the Irishman said that scoreboard pressure could be a factor at Ibrox on Sunday if Celtic did the business against Hearts – which they did in an emphatic 3-0 victory.
After the game, Rodgers admitted (via Glasgow Times) that he wouldn’t be watching the events unfold at Ibrox but would instead be taking time away with the family.
“No. I’m heading out with my family tomorrow.
“I’ll be going up to the seaside and enjoying a bit of time up there. I’ll be resting and spending time with the family.”
Celtic are six points clear of the Ibrox side, who travel to Paradise next weekend. Rodgers will be hoping that his side can replicate that level of performance against their bitter rivals and push the team towards another title.
