Adam Idah has been rewarded for his fine form at Celtic with a place in the Ireland squad for their fixtures against Hungary and Portugal.
The striker, who spent the second half of this season on loan with Brendan Rodgers’ side, has been named by John O’Shea for their clashes at the beginning of June.
Idah scored 9 goals and assisted once in 19 appearances for the Hoops. The 23-year-old helped Brendan’s team towards a League and Cup double and the hope is that he will return next season on a permanent deal.
Also included in the squad is Mikey Johnston, who is expected to return from West Brom this summer after a successful loan spell with the Championship side.
