CCV’s attitude is spot on and in shape contrast to Dessers

Cameron Carter Vickers’ attitude is spot on in a week that seen the Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers dub his side ‘the best team in Scotland’. It was reassuring to hear Celtic’s ‘Big Strong Man’ Cameron Carter-Vickers do the exact opposite by keeping the lid on our title chances.

A Glasgow Derby still to negotiate

CCV insisted that a three point lead is nothing, and he would be right. It’s a lead with no margin for error especially with a Glasgow Derby still to negotiate. He then explained how Celtic were looking to perform at their best in the next five league games and are fully focused on retaining the title.

That’s what we want to hear. It might be different in private at Lennoxtown, but to the watching world we have got to remain humble. There is no need to give the opposition any extra motivation by saying things that make us seem arrogant, something that could come back to haunt us.

    Too close for comfort

The supporters know the title is not a sure thing, and that our current lead is too close for comfort. But much like the players we have the belief that we can win the league, and are very optimistic how things will pan out in the next few weeks.

Do our talking on the park

It’s very reassuring to all of us that the players are saying the right things for the challenges that await us.

Celtic as always will be content to do our talking on the park.

    Just an Ordinary Bhoy
