Brendan Rodgers’ media conference ahead of Glasgow Derby

Brendan Rodgers has previewed Celtic’s Glasgow Derby against Rangers. The Scottish Champions travel to Ibrox to face Philippe Clement’s team in a mouthwatering clash that could determine the destination of the Premiership trophy in May.

The Celtic manager said that while he and his players wanted to win the game then it would not be fatal to their title ambitions. The Irishman will go into the game with the confidence that he has a full team to choose from, for the first time against Rangers this season.

Celtic have beaten Rangers on the two occasions that the sides have met already this season. In the first meeting in September, Kyogo’s goal separated the side despite a narrative going into the game that Michael Beale’s team were favourites. Then, Clement’s side came to Celtic Park in December and were beaten 2-1 with goals from Paulo Bernardo and the Japanese centre forward secured the three points for Brendan and the team.

  1. To possibly keep this title race within our own hands, then Rodgers is correct in claiming that this weekend isn’t a must win game?
However it possibly remains a most not lose game, to keep control of the title within our own hands imo?
Been thinking for weeks now, that we need to be looking for at least 4 points from the 2 Glasgow Derby games?
Simple reason, is that the chances of the scum dropping points outside of ourselves remains very slim, especially with the cheating officials providing every possible help towards the scum?
So believe the scum actually need the win moreso than ourselves or could be potentially having to come to Celtic Park requiring a result themselves?
We still have by far the better players, and as long as we start preforming to our capabilities, then we will have to much for the scum to handle, regardless of all the assistance cheating Beaton and co will offer the scum imo?
