Beaton and Dallas appointed for Celtic’s trip to Dundee

The SFA have announced their appointments for this weekend’s game between Celtic and Dundee at Dens Park. Since Celtic last played in the league, second placed Rangers have lost to Ross County and drawn against Dundee, meaning that Brendan Rodgers’ side have a three point gap at the top of the table.

John Beaton has been confirmed as the referee for the game. Beaton will be assisted by David Roome and Dougie Potter with Peter Stuart on Fourth official duties at Dens Park.

Meanwhile at Clydesdale House, Andrew Dallas is on VAR and is assisted by Graeme Leslie.

Beaton has now taken charge of two of Celtic’s last three games despite being criticised by Rodgers after his role on VAR in the defeat at Tynecastle. Hopefully there will be no questionable calls from officials.

The Scottish Champions will be playing just hours after Rangers play St Mirren in Paisley, meaning that three points is vital towards their title charge.

Celtic have had a perfect record against Dundee this season with three wins from three to date. The Dens Park side though have enjoyed a fine first season back in the Scottish Premiership and deserve their spot in the top six.
