Unique Angle – Tash Flint’s St Patrick’s Day Double for the Celtic support

Tash Flint scored both Celtic goals during a dominant Celtic performance to inflict a first domestic defeat of the season on Jo Potter’s side.

The Goal Machine

The Goal Machine was feared by theRangers Women last season when she was on loan from Leicester City and they must have been delighted when her good form in the Hoops came to the attention of Liverpool and they snapped her up from right under the noses of Celtic.

Sadiku’s tremendous opportunity

But given the strength of the women’s game south of the border, Flint struggled for game-time and a second loan move to Celtic was something that she was very keen on pursuing.  Goals like yesterday’s will give Elena Sadiku a tremendous opportunity to deliver a first ever title for Celtic – the only trophy that Fran Alonso failed to win in his three years in charge.

Petershill Park

Glasgow City and theRangers will also retain title aspirations.  It looks like going to the wire this season. Next up for Celtic FC Women is a visit to Petershill Park in the north of Glasgow to play the current SWPL1 Champions Glasgow City. The sides are level on points, one behind leaders theRangers.  That game is a week on Sunday, with no action this weekend for the Ghirls.
