Scotland manager Steve Clarke has selected Celtic defenders Greg Taylor and Anthony Ralston for the forthcoming friendly fixtures. Scotland will face N Ireland and the Netherlands as part of the preparation towards the European Championships in Germany, that begin in June.

Both Taylor and Ralston will be hoping that they can use these games as an opportunity to consolidate their place in the manager’s plans. Ralston and Taylor will likely be options from the bench with Andy Robertson and Nathan Patterson ahead of them in the wingback roles that Clarke prefers. However, in the game against N Ireland, Clarke will likely shuffle the pack.

There is no Callum McGregor, who would have been a certainty to start the games, as he misses with an injury to his achilles.

Goalkeepers: Angus Gunn, Craig Gordon, Liam Kelly, Zander Clark

Defenders: Liam Cooper, Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry, John Souttar, Scott McKenna, Ryan Porteous, Kieran Tierney, Andy Robertson, Nathan Patterson, Greg Taylor & Tony Ralston

Midfielders: Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Christie, John McGinn, Billy Gilmour,  Kenny McLean, Scott McTominay.

Attackers: Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes & Lawrence Shankland
